This collection is the result of one man's lifetime of collecting anything World War Two!
Three Romney hangars are home to over 60 mainly British and Canadian vehicles and field guns, including a 1944 Churchill Mk VII Crocodile Flamethrower Infantry Tank, armoured cars, trucks and personnel carriers.
There are thousands of smaller items, from mortar shells to ration books, machine guns, gas masks and displays of uniforms, kit and equipment.
Items from other conflicts include personal weapons and equipment from WW1, the Falklands War and the First Gulf War.
Another building housing the Wartime Home Front displays. The civilian's world of ARP Wardens, Bomb Disposal, National Fire Service, Home Guard, Land Girls, WVS, evacuees, food rationing and coupons.
In the surplus and souvenir shop you can find new and used combat clothing, collectors' items, deactivated guns, inert ammunition, survival and outdoor equipment, badges, toys, and souvenirs.
A Fordson 7V NAAFI canteen truck serves hot and cold drinks and snacks during the main season, and there is a large free car park and picnic area. The site has disabled access and facilities.
Cobbaton Combat Collection is situated approximately 7 miles South East of Barnstaple, and is signed from all directions.
